From 6 March, the course of route 1, 2, 5 and 10 trams will be changed at the intersection of 11. novembra krastmala and 13. janvāra iela
As intensive track and overpass construction works continue, the course of route 1, 2, 5 and 10 trams will be gradually changed at the intersection of 11. novembra krastmala and 13. janvāra iela from 6 March. On 6 June, the course of route 1, 2, 5, 10 trams in the direction of Imanta, Tapešu iela and Bišumuiža will be organised along the route until the intersection of 13. janvāra iela and Aspazijas bulvāris, then along 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and then along the route to the terminal, while in the opposite direction the tram will continue to run along Centrāltirgus. From 7 June, route 1, 2, 5 and 10 trams will run in both directions only along 13. janvāra iela.
The course of tram routes on 6 June:
The course of route 1, 2, 5, 10 trams in the direction of Imanta, Tapešu iela and Bišumuiža will be organised along the route until the intersection of 13. janvāra iela and Aspazijas bulvāris, then along 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and then along the route to the terminal.
The course of route 1, 2, 5, 10 trams in the direction to Jugla, Mīlgrāvis and Stacijas laukums will be as usual – along 11. novembra krastmala, Maskavas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Prāgas iela and further along the route.
Route 5 trams from 3. depo to Imanta will run along Maskavas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Prāgas iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and further to Imanta.
Route 10 trams from 3. depo to Bišumuiža will run along Maskavas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Prāgas iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and further to Bišumuiža.
From 7 June, trams in both directions will run along 13. janvāra iela:
Route 1 tram
From Imanta, the route will run to 11. novembra krastmala, then along 11. novembra krastmala, 13. janvāra iela, Radio iela and then along the route.
From Jugla (and from 5. depo) the route will run to Radio iela, then along Radio iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and then along the route.
Route 2 tram
From Tapešu iela, the route will run to 11. novembra krastmala, then along 11. novembra krastmala, 13. janvāra iela, Aspazijas bulvāris, K. Barona iela, Radio iela, to the terminal Stacijas laukums.
From Stacijas laukums, the route will run to Radio iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and then along the route.
On the routes from 3. depo to Stacijas laukums, the tram will run to Maskavas iela, then along Maskavas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Prāgas iela, 13. janvāra iela, Aspazijas bulvāris, K. Barona iela, Radio iela, to the terminal Stacijas laukums.
On the routes from Stacijas laukums to 3. depo, the tram will run along Radio iela, 13. janvāra iela, Prāgas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Maskavas iela to the 3. depo.
Departure times from the terminals have been changed on the route.
Route 5 tram
From Imanta, the route will run to 11. novembra krastmala, then along 11. novembra krastmala, 13. janvāra iela, Aspazijas bulvāris and then along the route.
From Mīlgrāvis, the route will run to Aspazijas bulvāris, then along Aspazijas bulvāris, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and then along the route.
From 3. depo to Mīlgrāvis, the route will run to Maskavas iela, then along Maskavas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Prāgas iela, 13. janvāra iela, Aspazijas bulvāris and then along the route.
From 3. depo to Imanta, the route will run to Maskavas iela, then along Maskavas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Prāgas iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and then along the route.
Departure times from the terminals have been changed on the route.
Along with the changes in the departure times of route 5 tram, changes are also being made to the schedule of the route 5T bus Iļģuciems-Botāniskais dārzs to align the departure times of the two routes as much as possible.
Route 10 tram
From Bišumuiža, the route will run to 11. novembra krastmala, then along 11. novembra krastmala, 13. janvāra iela, Aspazijas bulvāris, K. Barona iela, Radio iela, to the terminal Stacijas laukums.
From Stacijas laukums, the route will run to Radio iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and then along the route.
On the routes from 3. depo to Stacijas laukums, the tram will run to Maskavas iela, then along Maskavas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Prāgas iela, 13. janvāra iela, Aspazijas bulvāris, K. Barona iela, Radio iela, to the terminal Stacijas laukums.
On the routes from 3. depo to Bišumuiža, the route will run to Maskavas iela, then along Maskavas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Prāgas iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala and then along the route.
On the routes from Stacijas laukums to 3. depo, the tram will run along Radio iela, 13. janvāra iela, Prāgas iela, Centrāltirgus iela, Maskavas iela to the 3. depo.

The construction works at the intersection of 11. novembra krastmala and 13. janvāra iela are co-financed by the European Union Cohesion Fund within the framework of project No. 4.5.1.1/22/I/001 “Adaptation of Riga Tram Infrastructure to Low-Floor Tram Parameters” (hereinafter – the Project). In addition to the reconstruction of the intersection, the Project also plans to adapt the infrastructure of route 7 tram in the section from Centrāltirgus iela to the final destination Ķengarags and the infrastructure of route 5 tram in the section from the intersection of Jūrmalas gatve and Slokas iela to the final destination Ilģuciems to the low floor tram parameters. The Project also includes the renewal of four substations and the construction of one substation, all equipped with electrical equipment to ensure adequate power supply for the low floor tram operation. The total cost of the Project is estimated at EUR 55.2 million, while the Cohesion Fund co-financing amounts to 85% of the eligible costs, i.e., EUR 38.78 million.
